Release Saturday 30 January at 12.00pm (NZT) via online raffle (see details below)
The latest special edition Nike SB Dunk Low release dubbed 'Pink Pig' draws it's inspiration from the Porsche 917/20, which first debuted at the 1971 Le Mans race.
For the last forty years the infamous car has become part of car folklore. The incredibly polarising car delivered by Porsche designer Anatole Lapine. He had a exterior 'butcher-style cuts' design that labelled each of the body parts.
The Porsche 917/20 was fastest car during the pre-race qualification session (although it was completely untested). At the main race, the car was running in fifth position when an unfortunate accident ended the short-lived legend. In 1971 the car featured in the Steve McQueen film Le Mans.
The 'Pink Pig' Dunk Lows have the colour combination of a the Porsche: a blush 'Atomic Pink', 'University Red' and clean white.
The Nike SB Dunk Lows feature premium suede across the uppers in the 'Atomic Pink' while the same shade covers the laces, mesh tongue, and perforated toe box. Subtle accents of the 'University Red' feature on the stitching. It also features on the Nike SB branding on one pair of laces, the tongue, insoles, and embroidered ‘NIKE’ across the heel. The 'Pink Pig' Dunk Lows are lastly completed with a clean, classic white midsole and black rubber outsole.
Raffle is now closed, names drawn will be emailed.
Please note; the email may well end up in your Junk / Spam folder as it contains a link so please check. All winners will be notified by 1pm Saturday, January 30.
