One of the most well know names in skateboarding is American professional skater Nyjah Huston. He is one of the highest paid skateboarder in the world. He was brought up Rastafarian. The Rastafarian colours and aesthetics can be seen in a lot of Nyjah sponsored decks and apparel. Nyjah's father was a skateboarder, and started training Nyjah at five years old. His parents brought a indoor skate park in 2004 which he practised on.

Nyjah was first signed by Element Skateboards, though recently stated on social media that he is no longer with them. Huston currently is sponsored by Nike SB, Diamond Supply Co., Ricta Wheels, Monster Energy, Social CBD, Doritos, Mob Grip, Mountain Dew, flatbread Neapolitan pizzeria, and Adapt Technology.
