Orders & Returns
We hope you love your new purchase! If something is not quite right, you can read below on how to exchange items within 14 days. Returned items must be brand new & unworn with original tags attached. If an item is faulty, we’ll meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.Â
You are responsible for organizing and purchasing postage to return/exchange items. We do not accept responsibility for the item until it is received, so it is recommended that you use a tracked service.Â
The following conditions apply to all Refund / Exchanges:
- Please note, we do not accept returns on all sale items.Â
- Items must be clean, unworn and in a re-sellable condition, with original tags attached, original brand packaging, and in the original box for shoes.
- All Returns must be received by Empire Skate within 14 days of your original order date.Â
- Â Please ensure your item is well packaged and no tape is on the shoe box or clothing.
- Return freight must be covered by the customer, for all returns & exchanges.
- If returning for an exchange there is no additional cost, if returning for a refund there is a $7.50 handling fee that will be deducted from your refund.
- All shipping costs associated with the original order are non refundable.Â
- Certain items are not able to be returned unless faulty. This includes underwear, swimwear and final sale items.

Returns for Refund:
- If you wish to return for refund please follow these steps:
- Click the link here to request a return or by logging into your account
- Wait until you have received an accepted request email before sending back your order
- Refunds will be processed after we receive your returned item

Exchange: Full Priced Styles &Â Discounted Items/Orders
- Contact us to advise us of your intention to exchange an item by email on hello@empireskate.co.nz - this must include what style you are wanting to exchange for
- Fill out the return form, which will be provided to you.
- Include the completed form with the item and return to us.
- Replacements will be processed after we receive your returned items.

Exchanging for different priced items
Exchanging for items of lesser value:

You can choose to have the difference returned to you in the form a refund back to your original payment method. (Please note that if you choose a refund to the original payment method, a $7.50 handling fee will be deducted from the available refund amount.
Exchanging for items of greater value:
- You can pay the difference during the exchange process via credit card (no other payment options are available)
Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to not accept returns if the product is not in acceptable condition on return. This includes but is not limited to:
Footwear returned without the original box and sets of lacesFootwear that is marked, creased or shows signs of being worn outsideClothing without any of the original tagsItems without the original packaging or casesItems outside of the 14 day return windowItems that are marked 'final sale'Â Underwear, swimwear and personal hygiene productsReturns sent back without acceptance will be sent back, and a freight charge will be charged too you.Â
Exchanges will be sent once your return has arrived back with us and been cleared by our returns department. Inspection times may vary, and you agree not to hold Empire Skate liable for the time taken to assess the returned items.Â
Refunds will be issued once the items have been returns and inspected by our returns department.Â
Warranties: All items returned for warranty, require a warranty assessment by their relevant supplier. Empire Skate cannot be held accountable for items not accepted by supplier warranty, and will not issue any replacements where a warranty replacement has failed. In the event of a warranty fail (e.g. the item damage is determined as wear and tear), Empire Skate does not need to provide a refund, or credit. Empire Skate is not responsible for the time taken for a warranty assessment.Please take reasonable steps to ensure the maintenance of your products purchased. Empire Skate is not responsible for damage caused by abnormal usage.Â
