Following the epic response and impressive submissions we received from those involved in last years lock-down design a deck competition, we're launching Design a Deck 2.0!

That’s right, once again we are calling on local creatives, skaters, artists and general go getters to be the mastermind behind our next Empire Deck design with a chance for your design to be manufactured and sold worldwide.

Last year we had two winners out of hundreds of submissions, who’s decks continue to be some of our most popular and in demand products. 

We are giving you another chance to not only get your own design created, but to also score a $500 Empire Voucher!

The campaign will run for 5 weeks with submissions closing on May 31st; giving you plenty of time to get ideas, start creating and sending in designs. 

We at Empire Skate will select our Top 10 designs, and from there, it is up to the public to vote for the winner.

How to Enter:

• Design an original deck using the photoshop template here, PDF Template here or PNG template here.
• Email your design to us at designcomp@empireskate.co.nz
• If you want to include an Empire logo in your design, you can download these here.

All the Deets: 

• Submissions are open till 8pm Monday May 31st. Submissions received after this will not be counted.
• At 3pm June 1st, the Top 10 designs chosen by our team will be published to our Facebook Page.
• Our Facebook community will determine the winner. Of the 10 finalists, the entry with the highest number of likes at 8pm Sunday 6th June will be announced as the winner.
• The winner will receive a $500 Empire gift card, and their very own deck which we will manufacture in our next run of Empire Decks.

(We reserve the right to exclude any designs which are over 7/10 on the scale of offensiveness)

Key Dates:

- 8pm Monday May 31st: Submissions close

- 3pm Tuesday June 1st: Top 10 Designs will be published to the Empire Skate Facebook Page.

- 8pm Sunday 6th June: Design with the Most likes on our Facebook page will be announced as the Winner. 

Terms and Conditions:

By submitting a design, you give us permission to share your name and design on our Facebook page. Acceptance of the $500 Empire Gift Card by the winner, gives Empire full rights to use the winning design as we see fit.
