We're doing something a little different for the Empire Skate release of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'Laser Orange' skate shoes. We're keeping it local and releasing these shoes exclusively via our upcoming Kickflip Competition, to give skateboarders a fair chance of copping a pair. See below for more information about these Dunks, the Kickflip Competition, and how to register.
Nike SB has a new Dunk Low Pro in a vibrant colourway, bound to be a hit with Laker fans and sneakerheads alike. The low-cut silhouette of the Dunk Low is great for both skating and wearing on the street. The colourway is a fresh orange shade with a deep 'regency' purple accent. Construction is a combination of leather and suede uppers, a plush, pillowy white tongue, and the outer sole on white with a translucent layer. It comes with stitched silver 'Nike' branding on the heel. RRP $170 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This competition starts at 6pm on Friday 11 September, at Empire Skate 4 Margaret Street, Lower Hutt.
Register online using the form on this page. You can also register at Empire Skate, 4 Margaret Street by 5.30pm on the day of the competition.
We will draw names from a hat to establish the order that contestants will compete. Late entries will be accepted, however any late entrants will automatically go to the back of the kickflip queue.
Arrive at Empire Skate by 6pm and check in at the front counter.
When it's your turn, you can attempt a kickflip in the designated area outside Empire Skate.
If you land a kickflip first pop, you will be eligible to buy one pair of Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'Laser Orange' shoes. You can head in store and purchase a pair on the spot.
BONUS If you land a kickflip, you also have the option to attempt a laser flip. The first contestant who successfully lands a laser flip (after their successful kickflip) will score a FREE pair of Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'Laser Orange'.
These shoes are strictly limited to one per customer. If you are the legend who scores the free pair via the laser flip bonus, you will not be eligible to purchase a second pair.
If your first attempt is unsuccessful, you can go to the back of the queue for another chance.
Stock is super limited so once it is all gone, the competition will end.
There will be other spot prizes and giveaways on the night, so come along and show us your skills or cheer your mates on.
Everyone is welcome, so dust off your board, old timers. We’ll have a shop board available for anyone without a board who wants to give it a crack.
Any stock left over after the competition will be on sale the following day, in-store only at Empire Skate, 4 Margaret Street, Lower Hutt.
Empire Skate will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries sustained as a result of this competition. We encourage you to skate within your limits. Chur!
